DANCE
CORNER!!!

MISSION STATMENT

MORE THAN DANCE ITS SELFEXPRESSION

The University of Ottawa Afro Dance Club (UOADC) is a

student-led organization dedicated to celebrating and

exploring African culture through dance. Open to all

students, regardless of background or experience, the club

functions primarily as a dance class environment,

welcoming anyone interested in learning, growing, and

enjoying Afro dance in its many forms including fusion,

traditional, and contemporary.

UOADC emphasizes movement, learning, and cultural

appreciation over competition, offering an inclusive and

supportive space for self-expression and creativity.

Whether you're a beginner or have years of dance experience, everyone is welcome to join and

participate. We’d love to have anyone be part of this vibrant community.

The club is also committed to community involvement, organizing fundraising efforts to support

club activities and contribute to a member-selected charitable cause each year. Through engaging

workshops, dance sessions, and cultural events, UOADC aims to enrich student life, foster unity,

and create a positive social impact on campus and beyond.

WELCOME

We’re so excited to have you here. Our club is built on community, culture, and a shared love for movement. Whether you’re new to Afro dance or have been dancing for years, UOADC is a space to learn, express yourself, and connect with others in a supportive and inclusive environment. We look forward to dancing, growing, and celebrating culture together with you this year.
